Just like in 2009, the 9th annual Blender Conference, a 3D software Developers & Users Event in Amsterdam, will be streamed live online on the web and screened in the virtual world Second Life.

October 29-30-31, 2010

Blender is a free and open-source software program for 3D modeling, animation, and rendering. For graphic designs, movies,  games and other visual arts. Also for importing 3-D objects into virtual worlds such as Second Life and OpenSim.

Second Front about Wikipedia, SL & media in general

Second Front members Great Escape (aka artist Scott Kildall) and Man Michinaga (aka Patrick Lichty, also the animator of The Yes Men) were special guests in De Hoeksteen Live! at the NIMk.  Interviewed by Prince Clause Fund director Els van der PlasLive on SALTO 1 TV (Amsterdam) + web.

They talked about the about the CPoV (“Critical Point of View”) Wikipedia Conference in Amsterdam where they did presentations. (Patrick Lichty: “This-presentation-might-get-me-killed”)

Furthermore about the virtual world Second Life and their performance art group Second Front in particular. And about new media in general.
